Be aware of anyone reaching out to you claiming to be the author Leah Moyes.

Unfortunately scammers have been around for decades, so this is not news, but recently many authors have been affected with people claiming to be them. The person will reach out with an email generally with the authors name and a number like Leahmoyes517@gmail.com. They begin with a friendly conversation and the recipient believes they are interacting with the real person. Once a relationship is established with conversations back and forth, they start to ask for things like more personal information and money. Please know, I would never ask you for this. The only email address I would use to contact you whether it is from a contest from my newsletter or something of that nature, would be leahmoyesauthor@gmail.com. Please know I also would never sell or misuse your email address either. I value our relationship too much and appreciate your willingness to follow my writing journey.
